A Comparative Analysis of Results of Suspensory Femoral Fixation and Interference Screw Femoral Fixation in Arthroscopic Anatomical Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction with Quadruple Hamstring Graft

Journal Title: Journal of Medical Science And clinical Research - Year 2018, Vol 6, Issue 4

Abstract

Background: Arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is the most commonly performed arthroscopic procedure performed worldwide. Material and Methods: Patients operated between January 2013 to February 2014were included in study. Result: Out of 44 patients 4 were lost to follow up. Eventually our sample size became 40 out of which Interference Screw group comprised of 20 patients and Suspensory Fixation group comprised of 20 patients. Conclusion: All of our patients reported satisfactory outcomes regardless the procedure adopted. Younger age group and non-meniscal injury group shows better outcome.
