A Comparitive Study of Cloud Computing Models for Academic Environment

Abstract

Cloud computing is becoming main computing paradigm. The use of cloud computing has been increased exponentially. It has various characteristics and advantages of on-demand computing, shared infrastructure, pay-per-use model, scalability and elasticity. Cloud computing in academic environment greatly benefits the students and faculty where lot of consolidated data need to be handled. In this paper we are thoroughly analyzing the set of models which are proposed for academic environment. This paper gives insight about current trend and engineering prototype for sustainable cloud computing academic models and architectures. Our design guarantees monitory benefits for research institution and universities, in terms of optimizing time and resource utilization.
