A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF RADIOTHERAPY AND CHEMOTHERAPY-INDUCED MORPHOLOGICAL SIDE EFFECTS IN BREAST CANCER TREATMENT: STRATEGIES FOR MANAGEMENT AND MITIGATION

Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2024, Vol 3, Issue 6

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the most prevalent malignancies affecting women globally. The primary treatment options for breast cancer include surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or a combination of these modalities. While these treatments have significantly improved survival rates and disease management, they are not without complications and side effects. These adverse effects can substantially impact a patient’s quality of life and overall treatment experience. This paper aims to comprehensively review the common problems associated with radiotherapy and chemotherapy in breast cancer patients, drawing on current research to provide a detailed analysis of these issues and their management strategies
