A detailed statistical analysis of tibia plateau fractures treated with locking tibia plate: A study of 63 cases
Journal Title: International Journal of Orthopaedics Sciences - Year 2017, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
Objectives: To evaluate the results of locking plate system for tibia plateau fractures by detailed stastical analysis. Materials and Methods: A cohort of 63 tibia plateau fractures, surgically treated, from July 2013 to December 2015, was reviewed with a minimum 6 months up to maximum 2 years. Fractures were classified according the Schatzker classification. The assessment of the functional outcome was done with the use of the modified Rasmussen’s clinical and radiological score. Results: According to modified Rasmussen's scoring system, 40% patients had excellent results, 39% had good results, 11% had fair results and 10% had poor results (Combined clinical & Radiological Results). Conclusions: The significant analysis was, 1: We found no difference in time for union between open reduction and MIPPO. In our study, time to union was independent of surgical method used & 2: We found no difference in time for union between open and closed fractures.

Comparative analysis of functional outcome of midshaft clavicular fractures treated by nonoperative method and elastic nailing
Introduction: Till the end of nineteenth century, the clavicle fractures were managed conservatively. Recent studies have showed that there is a higher rate of nonunion and alteration of shoulder biomechanics in subgroup...
The outcome of coracoid transfer for bony Bankart in treatment of recurrent dislocation of shoulder
Introduction: There are various methods been described for treatment of the recurrent dislocation of shoulder. This includes arthroscopic Bankart repair, Bristow-Latarjet procedure (transfer of coracoid process to the gl...
Anatomic measurements of the coracoid and its implication in the Latarjet procedure
Background: Latarjet procedure is frequently done to treat shoulder instability. It includes osteotomizing the coracoid distal to the insertion of coracoclavicular ligament. Knowledge of the insertion of the trapezoid li...
Comparison between CC Screw and tension band wiring in treatment of medial malleolus fracture
Background & Objectives: Ankle fractures are the most common injuries treated by orthopaedic surgeons. However very few investigators have examined the functional recovery following operative treatment of ankle fractures...
