À la manière de… Bruno Schulz
Journal Title: Schulz/Forum - Year 2016, Vol 8, Issue 8
Abstract
A pastiche of Schulz’s work focusing on a vision of the Father’s particularly important mission. The old Jacob, wearing his coat and hat, sits on a chamber pot to defend “with all his waning power and the remains of the dying buttocks” the order of things against the “coup d’etat which is being prepared in the depth of the matter.” Adela makes the element get out of control so that, flooding the room, the apartment, and the whole town, it carries the Father away. The text was originally published in "Chochoł", 1938, no. 1 (February 6), p. 3.
