A model for health service provision

Abstract

This article presents the results of an investigation that was under-taken to study how the formation of opinion leaders in health in com-munities is a key to improving the health status of them and ensure adherence to changes factor after the actors They propose to carry out. The methodology was kind of qualitative and historical study and as a result it was established that in the great educational reform that was established in the 50s of last century in our country, one of the experiences that were created was the Rural Program municipality of Santo Domingo in Antioquia, which was established as a new approach to not only Colombian but global medical education and served well pattern for the health organization in the previous countries meeting Mé-rida (1) (1972) and later Alma Ata (1978) which was defi ned mostro and recommended this model as ideal for the or-ganization of a health system, which allowed the conclusion that the community organization and participation of their leaders are critical to achieving a good level health in populations and community work that promotes an intersectoral development that raises the standard of living of the populations.
