A Musıc Instrument in Seljuk Ceramics

Abstract
Ceramic ornaments and other ceramic works are important for cultural history. These works have considerable importancein terms of many disciplines. Ceramics are very valuable resources for historical musicology used the methodology of history and organology interested in the structure of music instruments and musical instruments history. Seljuk ceramics have different information about cultre and musical culture. But we focused on a forgotten musical instrument in Anatolian Turks, which we have identified in Great Seljuk ceramics. With this research we aim to contribute to a little bit information in music history of Seljuk period. It has been investigated Seljuk ceramics which have musical scenes in museums or museum catalogs and determined a musical instrument with a different structure in this research. Also information have presented about this musical instrument’s structure and roots.
