A NATURAL SONIC COMPOSITE – THE ATMOSPHERE
Journal Title: ROMANIAN JOURNAL OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES - APPLIED MECHANICS - Year 2016, Vol 61, Issue 2
Abstract
The atmosphere represents a natural sonic composite exhibiting the full band-gaps and localized modes around inhomogeneities given by the wind-velocity jumps. The paper analyses a barometric model including inhomogeneities which are modelled as Somigliana dislocations. The motion of atmospheric air is characterised by anharmonic coupling of nonlinear baroclinic fields of waves, and it is possible to tend to chaos when subjected to severe acoustic pulses. The riddling bifurcation is depicted that explains the generation of the hyperchaotic attractors.

SIMULTANEOUS POSITION AND STIFFNESS DISTRIBUTION CONTROL OF ELASTIC REDUNDANT CLOSED-LOOP MECHANISM
The present paper discusses a new design of robotic manipulator having redundant closed-loop mechanism with elastic passive joints. The proposed design is aiming to be utilized for developing robots that are capable to w...
EVOLUTION AS PHYSICS
Thermodynamics today is the physics domain in which three previously selfstanding lines of thinking merged to cover the broadest range of natural phenomena to date. The three lines were work-heat-design, or mechanics-cal...
CONSIDERATIONS ON ACTIVE REDUCTION NOISE, TREATMENT AND CONTROL DESIGN PERFORMANCE AT DIESEL GENERATOR
This paper discusses the methodology and results of a noise audit and active control testing on a portable single-cylinder diesel generator. Using a large microphone array, a spectral intensity map of all external surfac...
AN ABSTRACT PATTERN FOR SOME DYNAMICAL MODELS
Previously, several models from mechanics and physics were found that satisfy the same polynomial equation, whose coefficients are purely abstract. These models are: the nonlinear pendulum, the Bernoulli-Euler bar, P.P....
HIERARCHICAL STRUCTURES BASED ON PLC DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS
The paper presents a deep study of advanced programming techniques of the automation system based on PLC (Programmable Logical Controllers) such as: index addressing; saving data to Flash EPROM when the power supply drop...
