A New Approach To Signal Reflections Analysis On PCB Transmission Lines Terminated On Nonlinear Impedances
Journal Title: Acta Technica Napocensis- Electronica-Telecomunicatii (Electronics and Telecommunications) - Year 2013, Vol 54, Issue 2
Abstract
A novel approach for analyzing signal reflections on transmission lines terminated on non-linear impedances is presented. The starting point of this new method is the Bergeron diagram method. The results obtained by the well-known method are used as input data for the new approach. This new method is implemented in MatLab and is suitable for both linear and non-linear impedances, and also for driving signals having rise/fall times of any value. This is the novelty of this approach compared to the Bergeron method which is valid only for fast command signals. The results are compared and they show good agreement with the ones obtained by experimental measurements performed with a high-performance digital oscilloscope.

Fiber Segmentation in Composite Materials Using Marked Point Processes
This paper presents a new method dedicated to unsupervised 2D segmentation of fibers in a section of composite carbon-fiber materials. The framework relies on a marked point process algorithm. We shall create random elli...
Analysing the Stability of Circuits Based on Operational Amplifiers by Using Frequency-Domain Simulations
This paper analyzes in detail two of the most popular methods of determining the loop gain of OpAmp-based feedback circuits through frequency-domain Spice simulations. The limitations of the simpler method – that involve...
A VLSI Implementation of a New Low Voltage 4th Order Differential Gm-C Band-Pass Filters For Different Approximation In CMOS Technology
In this paper we present a new low voltage 4th order differential Gm-C band-pass filter (BPF) for different approximations (Butterworth or Chebyshev), which has been designed in CMOS technology. This differential BPF is...
Divide-and-Conquer Piecewise Linear Approximation of Gain and Phase Evaluation
Certain approaches to phase approximation ask as a first step in implementation for a piecewise linear fitting of gain. When the breakpoints are given, there are few ways to determine the slopes of the broken line approx...
Simulation Of DWDM Communication System At 8.10 Gbit/s Using Continuum Source In The Transmitter
In this paper, the 8-channel DWDM communication system at 8.10 Gbit/s is demonstrated. Laser diodes used in conventional DWDM link have been replaced by continuum covering C-band of optical communication window. If the...
