A new Characterization of some distributions Based on the r th conditional moment of doubly truncated mean function
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ADVANCES IN MATHEMATICS - Year 2013, Vol 4, Issue 2
Abstract
New characterizations of doubly truncated exponential and geometric distributions are presented by using the s th conditional expectation in terms of their failure rate and reversed failure rate. These results may serve as generalization of several other results in the literature. This characterization generalizes a result of Nofal (2010).

Characterization of Exponential and Power Function Distributions Using sth Truncated Moments of Order Statistics
Characterization results have great importance in statistics and probability applications. New characterizations of Exponential and Power Function distributions are presented using the sth conditional expectation of orde...
On a relation of distribution with series in L2 and logarithmic averages in the case of symmetric jump behavior
Distribution theory has an important role in applied mathematics, that generalizes the classical notion of functions in mathematical analysis. Distributions make it possible to differentiate functions whose derivatives d...
NONCLASSICAL FOURTH ORDER DISCONTINUOUS BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM WITH ABSTRACT LINEAR FUNCTIONALS
In this study, we have considered a nonstandard boundary-value problem for fourth order differential equation on two disjoint intervals The boundary conditions contains not only endpoints and but also a point inter...
Some Applications of a new class of Univalent Functions Defined by Subordination Property
In this paper, we introduce and study some applications of a new class of univalent functions defined by subordination property. Coefficient inequality, convex linear combinations, growth and distortion inequalities, rad...
Bifurcation in Singularity Parameterized ODEs
In this paper we will study differential algebraic equations (DAEs) through studying singularly perturbed ODEs. That's the ODEs will be transformed to an DAEs when the perturbed parameter approach to 0. This will permit...
