A new species of Tipula LINNAEUS, 1758 (Diptera: Tipulidae) from Green River Formation, USA

Abstract
We describe Tipula americana sp. nov., third known species of Tipula from the Eocene Green River Formation (USA). Morphological comparison with its closest recent and fossil relatives is provided.
