A NEW SYSTEM OF ELECTROCHEMICAL PROTECTION AGAINST CORROSION AND FOULING IN SHIP'S SEAWATER COOLED HEAT EXCHANGERS
Journal Title: Biuletyn Instytutu Morskiego - Year 2001, Vol 28, Issue 1
Abstract
It has been described the impressed current system of cathodic protection of water chambers in a cluster of ship's cooler. The system was designed by lnstytut Morski. It has been presented the general principle of the system and their elements as follows: anodes, multichannel module power unit with microcomputer controlled output voltage, as well as, connections among coolers structure elements and with the power unit. Also are listed operational parameters of the system.

Determination of mercury in selected environmental components using cold vapour atomic absorption spectrometry
Research on the determination of mercury in various environmental components has grown in significance over the past few years as the element’s ubiquity in nature was recognized. One of the most common analytical approac...
Communiqué on the results of the research on blue growth in the selected international projects aimed at enhancement of maritime spatial planning in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR)
Blue growth is a relatively new policy of EU enhancing sustainable use of the sea resources. The relation between blue growth and maritime spatial planning (MSP) are not obvious. Both belong to class of EU policies...
ASSESSMENT OF NUMERICAL WIND FORECASTS FOR THE GDANSK BAY AREA DURING THE POLRODEX'97 EXPERIMENT
The paper presents results of forecasts of wind field parameters over the Baltic Sea for the Gdansk Bay area obtained using two atmosphere models: UMPL (ICM Warsaw University) and HIRLAM (SMHI Sweden). The obtained resul...
SPACE-TIME CHARACTERISTICS OF MESOSCALE STRUCTURES IN THE NORTH- EAST GDANSK BAY
Temporal and spatial variability of mesoscale structures in the North-East Gdansk Bay is discussed. During measurements in September 1997, variability in the upper layer was determined by convective cooling processes. lv...
Runlines distribution in hydromagnetic surveys - case studies
The aim of the paper is to present an appropriate runlines distribution according to the character of the research area. The report contains an overview of the results of hydromagnetic studies carried out by the Maritime...
