A Novel Purely Active Electronically Controllable Configuration for Simulating Resistance in Floating Form
Journal Title: Elektronika - Year 2016, Vol 20, Issue 2
Abstract
This paper proposes a new purely active floating resistance simulation circuit employing two voltage differencing trans-conductance amplifiers (VDTAs). The proposed configuration enjoys following advantageous features; (i) purely active realization (ii) electronically tunable resistance (iii) no requirement of any active/passive component matching constraint (iv) good non-ideal behavior and (v) low sensitivity values. The Influence of VDTA terminal parasitics on high frequency behavior of proposed circuit is also investigated. The workability of proposed resistor simulator has been verified by an application example of voltage mode low-pass filter. To validate the theoretical analysis, SPICE simulations with TSMC 0.18µm CMOS process parameters have been performed.

LUT Based Generalized Parallel Counters for State-of-art FPGAs
Generalized Parallel Counters (GPCs) are frequently used in constructing high speed compressor trees. Previous work has focused on achieving efficient mapping of GPCs on FPGAs by using a combination of general Look-up ta...
Position Measurement over Wide Range by Simultaneous Use of Low and High Coherence Light Source
In this paper we propose and experimentally demonstrate a new technique for position/displacement measurement using fiber optic interferometry. We simultaneously employ a low- and a high- coherence light source in the sa...
Measuring Capacitor Parameters Using Vector Network Analyzers
Vector network analyzer (VNA) is versatile measuring equipment which is primarily used for two-port device S parameters measurements. This paper addresses measurement of capacitor parameters using VNA in broad frequency...
Hardware Implementation of FTC of Induction Machine on FPGA
In this paper, a new design method of Direct Torque Control using Space Vector Modulation (DTC-SVM) of an Induction Machine (IM), which is based on Fault Tolerant Control (FTC) is proposed. Due to its complexity, the FTC...
New Single VDCC-based Explicit CurrentMode SRCO Employing All Grounded Passive Components
This paper proposes a new single resistance controlled sinusoidal oscillator (SRCO) which employs only one voltage differencing current conveyor (VDCC), two grounded resistors and two grounded capacitors. The presented c...
