A Novel Representation and Searching Algorithm for Opening Hours
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Computer Science & Applications - Year 2017, Vol 8, Issue 4
Abstract
Opening Hours can be considered a data type having a human representation; this means that it can be easily understood by human beings and hardly understood by computers because the lack of a standard structured representation. In essence, the opening hours gives us a simple information: opening state at a certain date and time, and this is our focus in this paper. So far, this kind of functionality does not exists in today's database management systems because there are no algorithms developed in this way. The purpose of this paper is to presents a novel and easy to implement algorithm for encoding opening hours in order to quickly search and get the opening state for records.

Algorithm Selection for Constraint Optimization Domains
In this paper we investigate methods for selecting the best algorithms in classic distributed constraint optimization problems. While these are NP-complete problems, many heuristics have nonetheless been proposed. We fou...
Applying Chatbots to the Internet of Things: Opportunities and Architectural Elements
Internet of Things (IoT) is emerging as a significant technology in shaping the future by connecting physical devices or things with the web. It also presents various opportunities for the intersection of other technolog...
Performance Evaluation of Private Clouds Eucalyptus versus CloudStack
The number of open source cloud management platforms is increasing day-by-day. The features of these software vary significantly and this creates a difficulty for the cloud consumers to choose the software based on their...
New Transport Layer Security using Metaheuristics and New Key Exchange Protocol
The easiness of data transmission is one of the information security flaws that needs to be handled rigorously. It makes eavesdropping, tampering and message forgery by malicious more simple. One of the protocols develop...
Detection and Extraction of Videos using Decision Trees
This paper addresses a new multimedia data mining framework for the extraction of events in videos by using decision tree logic. The aim of our DEVDT (Detection and Extraction of Videos using Decision Trees)...
