A numerical solution for the equation of the lifting surface in subsonic flow including tunnel effects
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2011, Vol 3, Issue 3
Abstract
We employ the images method to establish the lifting surface equation including tunnel effects. We obtain a 2d hypersingular integral and we utilize Gauss-type quadrature formulas to discretize it. Numerical calculations are performed for the elliptical and rectangular wings in order to calculate the jump of the pressure.

Integral LQR Control of a Star-Shaped Octorotor
The paper starts by presenting the model of the star-shaped octorotor. LQR control is chosen to stabilize the attitude and altitude of the vehicle. Waypoint navigation is also implemented. Numerical simulations demonstra...
Nanocomposites as Advanced Materials for Aerospace Industry
Polymer nanocomposites, consisting of nanoparticles dispersed in polymer matrix, have gained interest due to the attractive properties of nanostructured fillers, as carbon nanotubes and layered silicates. Low volume addi...
A new approximation of the dispersion relations occurring in the sound-attenuation problem of turbofan aircraft engines
The dispersion relations, appearing in the analysis of the stability of a gas flow in a straight acoustically-lined duct with respect to perturbations produced by a time harmonic source, beside the wave number and comple...
Management strategies in the aerospace industry. Particular case: The Boeing Company
The present paper aims to provide an overview of the aviation industry in the United States (US). The study focuses on Boeing Company analyzing the organizational architecture and management strategies applied throughout...
EVAPRED - A CODE FOR FATIGUE ANALYSIS OPTIMIZATION
The fatigue can be, in fact, defined as: “failure under a repeated or otherwise varying load, which never reaches a level sufficient to cause failure in a single application”. Physical testing is clearly unrealistic for...
