A Prospective Study of Forms of Adolescent-Parent Conflicts and Effective Counselling Resolution Strategies

Abstract
This paper studied contemporary forms of adolescent-parent interpersonal conflicts and patterns of their resolution. The aim is to examine how counselling could be effectively utilized in resolving adolescent-parent conflicts. Counselling is an interaction between two or more persons with a view to establishing good personal, interpersonal and intra-personal stability. The sample of this study comprised 50 practicing counsellors. Questionnaire data analysed shows that individual and group counselling could effectively be used in resolving any type of adolescent-parent conflict.
