A rare presentation of simultaneous four Carpometacarpal joint dislocations: A case report
Journal Title: Medpulse International Journal of Orthopedics - Year 2018, Vol 5, Issue 1
Abstract
Background: Chronic Kidney Disease is a global threat to health particularly for developing countries, since therapy is expensive and life-long.19 Incidence of CKD has doubled in the last 15 years.19Accurate creatinine measurement is essential in the diagnosis of chronic kidney disease as serum creatinine is used for estimating glomerular filtration rate. The aim of our study was to compare the analytical performance between the enzymatic method and compensated Jaffe method for estimation of creatinine. Methods: In our study we measured serum creatinine in 135 serum samples by both enzymatic and compensated Jaffe methods using Cobas c311 automated analyser. Results: Relationship between both the methods using Cobas c311 automated analyser showed a correlation coefficient of 0.999, which means these two methods correlate very well. Conclusion: There was a good agreement and comparability between compensated Jaffe and enzymatic methods except for a minimal variation at higher concentrations of creatinine.

A comparative study of open reduction and internal fixation versus arthroplasty treatment of modified mason type III or IV radial head fracture at tertiary health care center
Background: Radial head fractures can occur in isolation or with associated elbow and forearm injuries, including fractures, fracture-dislocations, and/or ligamentous injuries Aims and Objectives: To study Open reduction...
Plating of fibula in the management of distal metaphyseal tibial and fibular fractures - A prospective study
The tibia is exposed to frequent injury. Distal tibial metaphyseal fractures are often the result of high-energy trauma, usually associated with distal fibular fractures. The presence of the ankle joint allows rotatory d...
Outcome evaluation of subtrochanteric femur fractures treated with proximal femoral nails
Background: Subtrochanteric femur fractures have demanded special consideration in orthopaedic traumatology, given the high rate of complications associated with their management. The proximal femoral nails were develope...
Bacterial flora and their antibiotic susceptibility patterns in open fracture wounds at a tertiary hospital of north India
The changes in pathogenic microbiological flora and the emergence of bacterial resistance have created major problems in the management of open fractures. A better understanding is required of the patterns or predilectio...
Short term functional and neurological outcome of short segment pedicle screw fixation in unstable thoracolumbar burst fractures
Background: Burst fractures are the most common type of thoracolumbar spine fractures (21-58%) associated with kyphotic deformity and neurological deficits. The treatment goals include restoration of spinal stability, ky...
