A STRONG REPRESENTATIVE OF MIMAR SINAN ECOLE IN OTTOMAN ARCHITECTURE: GRAND MOSQUE OF CANKIRI

Abstract
Main subject of this article is, Grand Mosque of Cankiri: which carried out style of Architect Sinan out of capital Istanbul and an important representative for central planned scheme within the borders of Turkish Republic. The mosque have had a great influence on the popularization of classical Ottoman architecture at Anatolia and we will compare this three semi domed, central planned mosque with contemporary Ottoman mosques and try to show some common characteristics of them. In conclusion Grand Mosque of Cankiri’s contribution to development process of Turkish architecture will be revealed.
