A study of ideal and written level of secondary school first grade social study curriculum

Abstract

The main purpose of this research was to study the ideal and written level of secondary school first grade social study curriculum. A survey research method was used. The statistical population (N=30&274) comprised all experts of social study curriculum and all male and female teachers of social study in Gilan province in (90-91) school year .Using ratio stratified random sampling method about 159 (85m&74f) were selected as study sample and the experts sample size was equal to population size .The data gathering instrument were researcher made questionnaire that was made based on NCSS model. The instrument validity reported as acceptable by experts and its reliability using cronbach alpha coefficient were computed equal to ./872&./83.The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistic indices including percent ,mean and standard deviation and independent T test. Findings showed that there is significant differences between ideal and written social study curriculum that is very ideal curriculum components were neglected in written curriculum.
