Journal Title: Journal of Business Management & Economics - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 2

Abstract

In India women have remained a neglected selection of workforce. They are not considered as part with men, actually women constitute about half of the population and majority of them are employed. The role of working women has changed throughout the world due to economic conditions and social demands. This has resulted in a scenario in which working women have great pressure to develop a career as strong as their male counterparts while sustaining active engagement in personal life. Thus, achieving work life balance is a necessity for workingwomen to have a good quality of life. This paper is an attempt to explore the tough challenges faced by working women in maintaining a balance between their personal and professional life. The results of the study indicate that the work-life balance of individuals affect their quality of life.
