A Study to Assess the Prevalence Rate of Diabetes Mellitus, Obesity and Hypertension among Population of Nadiad City

Abstract

This study is to assess the prevalence rate of Diabetes Mellitus, Obesity and Hypertension among the population of Nadiad city. The host influences by contributing to the development of hypertension, diabetes, BMI including cardio-vascular event, obesity, workload, family history, increase age, living a sedentary lifestyle, malnutrition. On-experiment research descriptive study design with exploratory survey approach was used the data were derived from simple random sampling among 1000 population of Nadiad city demographic view, age, gender. The present chapter is devoted to the presentation of results and their interpretation of frequency and percentage statistical technique used for analyzing the data have been presented objective wise from total samples 1000.This community based study demonstrated high prevalence of hypertension (29.60 % + 27.20 % = 56.80 %) moderate prevalence of obesity (13.30 % ) among the population of Nadiad city .A nationwide initiative has to start to create awareness among the people of community regarding the harmful effects of diabetes hypertension and obesity, with main focus on adolescents and adults .
