RESULTS Patients attending psychiatry OPD consistently gave responses showing a greater degree of self -stigma than those attending general medicine OPD for tuberculosis. The impact of demographic factors and psychiatric diagnosis on the perception of stigma was not statistically signicant. CONCLUSION The ndings of this study suggest high self-stigma among patients attending the Psychiatric Clinic in comparison with tuberculosis patients in the same setting. There was no signicant correlation between stigma scores, patient's diagnosis, and demographic factors.
