A Survey on Smartphone-Based Accident Reporting and Guidance Systems
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Computer Science & Applications - Year 2018, Vol 9, Issue 9
Abstract
Every day, around the world, a large percentage of people die from road accidents and falls. One of the reasons for a person's death during accidents is the unavailability of first aid, due to the delay in informing about the accident. Thus, in the case of incidents involving vehicles or falls, response time is crucial for the timely provision of emergency medical services. An effective approach intended to reduce the number of traffic-related deaths is: the use of a system for detecting and reporting the occurred accidents, as well as reducing the time between the occurrences of an accident and sending the first emergency respondents to the scene of the accident. This paper presents a recent study on mobile terminal solutions (smartphones) for detecting and preventing accidents (road, falls, bicycles) and systematic comparisons of existing solutions.

Performance Analysis of Machine Learning Algorithms for Missing Value Imputation
Data mining requires a pre-processing task in which the data are prepared, cleaned, integrated, transformed, reduced and discretized for ensuring the quality. Missing values is a universal problem in many research domain...
BRIQA: Framework for the Blind and Referenced Visual Image Quality Assessment
Our proposal is to present a Blind and Referenced Image Quality Assessment or BRIQA. Thus, the main proposal of this paper is to propose an Interface, which contains not only a Full-Referenced Image Quality Assessment (I...
Partial Greedy Algorithm to Extract a Minimum Phonetically-and-Prosodically Rich Sentence Set
A phonetically-and-prosodically rich sentence set is so important in collecting a read-speech corpus for developing phoneme-based speech recognition. The sentence set is usually searched from a huge text corpus of millio...
Automatic Fall Detection using Smartphone Acceleration Sensor
In this paper, we describe our work on developing an automatic fall detection technique using smart phone. Fall is detected based on analyzing acceleration patterns generated during various activities. An additional long...
