A SURVEY ON THE TOURS WHICH INCLUDES KARADENIZ EREGLI AS A DESTINATION

Abstract
Abstract Travel agencies contribute to the economies of the destinations and the their positive image by organizing tourtistic tours. Travel agencies, steering the dynamism of the tourism, have more significant roles especially on developing touristic destinations such as Karadeniz Ereğli. Hence, the characteristics of the such tours organized by them are noteworthy for these destinations. Based on the aforementioned importance of the characteristics of the tours, in this survey, aiming to find out the content of the tours to Karadeniz Eregli and the preference rate of the tours to Karadeniz Eregli among those to West Black Sea destinations, tour programs including Karadeniz Eregli destination on the web sites of 17 travel agencies are put into content analysis. To put the collected data into implementation; tour names, total time of the tours, times allocated to Karadeniz Eregli, real time operational status of the tours, transportatıon method, departure points of the tours, accommodation status, attractions planned to visit in Karadeniz Eregli are encoded and interpreted. As the key results of the survey it can be concluded that majority of the tours to Karadeniz Eregli do not include accommodation in the destination, they are inadequate in terms of the attractions to visit and the prevailing departure point of the tours organized to Karadeniz Eregli is Ankara.
