ABOUT THE EFFICIENCY OF THE GLOBAL EXTREME SEARCHING ALGORITHMS IN THE WOLFRAM MATHEMATICA SYSTEM

Abstract
The results of the computational experiment for finding the minimum value of the functions of several variables using the algorithms embedded in the Wolfram Mathematica system are presented. The ineffectiveness of the Nelder-Mead method is shown for the search for the extremum of multi-extremum functions The most suitable were stochastic search methods based on genetic algorithms.
