The acts relating to the abuse of power or office position were considered. The quantitative and qualitative indicators of counteracting to abuse of power or office position were analyzed. The aspects of economic crime from the point of official misconduct were highlighted. The recommendations for combating of abuse of power or office in order to prevent economic crime were formulated
