Activation of students’ cognitive processes and application of information and computer technologies for the development of their professional foreign-language competence

Abstract
In this paper the methods of students’ cognitive processes activation are investigated. The concepts of cognitive activity, information and computer technologies are defined. The advantages of their use are presented. Technologies of Multimedia projects method, Computer training programs, Internet resources aimed at developing professional foreign-language competence of students are considered. The article attempts to show the role and place of ICT in the educational process.
