Active Learning of Control Systems
Journal Title: International Journal of Science and Research (IJSR) - Year 2015, Vol 4, Issue 3
Abstract
Teaching control systems to the under graduate engineering students is a tough job without active learning. The innovation in teaching control systems is simple but quiet interesting. A role play was conducted to make the learners to understand the difference between the open loop and closed loop systems. The analogy of saturation was compared with the saturation of torque speed characteristic of motor. The effect of Positive feedback also demonstrated to the learners. Finally a simple DC motor was constructed by the learners and was successfully rotated by a group of leaners. The author finds easy to teach the control systems with these types of active learning.
Use of Bamboo as Building Material
The existence of wood is continuously reducing, mostly in tropical. In whole world at hot and dense divisions bamboo has a long and well-established habit for building material. So it is essential to aware about its ne...
A Comparison of 5 Level Multilevel Inverter Topologies
Now days, multilevel inverters are required for high power applications. The multilevel inverters are not only achieves high power ratings, but also use the renewable energy sources. Renewable energy sources like photovo...
Effectiveness of Balloon Therapy on Respiratory Status of Patients with Lower Respiratory Tract Disorders
Breathing is the bridge between mind and body, the connection between consciousness and unconsciousness. Chronic respiratory disease is found to be one of the most distressful conditions, badly affecting the quality of h...
Effects of Spondias Mombin Leaf Extract on the Cytoarchitecture of the Cerebal Cortex and on Learning and Memory in Wistar Rats
This study was carried out to determine the effects of aqueous extract of Spondias mombin on the histology of the cerebral cortex and its possible learning and memory enhancing properties in adult male Wistar rats. 24 ma...
Experimental Investigation on Surface Roughness in Finish Turning of EN 8 Steel
Good surface quality is the requirement of customers. In the present work it was seen that the desired surface roughness were not obtained consistently in turning of EN 8 steel application (shaft). These higher values of...
