Acupuncture therapy for postoperative pain

Abstract
This research evaluates the effect of acupuncture on postoperative pain in patients undergoing standard sternotomy. Perioperative acupuncture treatment has a significant analgesic effect on short-term pain for patients undergoing anterior midline thoracotomy. The application of acupuncture in acute pain should be widely recommended.
