Acute Viral Hepatitis B with a Severe Clinical Course in Pregnancy: A Case Report
Journal Title: Viral Hepatitis Journal - Year 2016, Vol 22, Issue 3
Abstract
The most common cause of non-pregnancy-specific acute hepatitis during pregnancy is hepatitis B. The clinical course of viral hepatitis B in pregnancy is similar to that in non-pregnant women, and about 1% of patients may develop acute liver failure. In this paper, we present a patient at 16 weeks of pregnancy who was administered tenofovirdisoproxil fumarate due to acute hepatitis B.
