Abstract
This article deals with the ontological and epistemological aspects of the geographical analysis of the intra-urban structure dynamics in postsocialist period. The main aim is to conceptualize a adaptative transformation as a meta-process of the urban changes in the postsocialist period. We discuss the ontological aspects of this research in the framework of adapted Bochum model. Our epistemological discussion is focused on the strategy of research in the framework of the trinity version of place concept.
