Addressing as a means of linguistic expression in the artistic speech of Nikolai Gogol

Abstract
The nature and specifics of addressing in the artistic speech of Nikolai Gogol are analyzed; functional possibilities of claimed syntactical units that serve as significant tools of intimacy and the expression of the author's attitude to the characters and their deeds are revealed in the article.
