Agricultural development strategy in the context of inter-sectoral integration: economic and environmental vectors

Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of this article is to study the approaches to the development of economic and environmental vectors of the strategy of development of the agrarian sector of the economy in the context of inter-sectoral integration. Methodology / approach. The methodological tool of research is the systematic method of scientific knowledge of economic phenomena and processes. To clarify the essence of the category «inter-sectoral integration», «strategy», an abstract-logical method was used. In order to assess the level of integration and efficiency of using integrated resource formations, the method of analysis has been used. On the basis of the forecasting method, the threats and opportunities for the development of inter-sectoral integration with the simultaneous comparison of the potential strengths and weaknesses of the integrated formations and the assessment of their competitive positions in the long-term and short-term period are identified. Results. The theoretical, methodological and applied aspects of the strategy of development of inter-sectoral integration in the agrarian sector of the economy through the prism of organizational, economic and environmental factors are substantiated from the position of the system approach. The dynamics of the capitalization of integrated formations and the efficiency of the establishment of closed production cycles in the conditions of inter-sectoral integration are shown. Originality / scientific novelty. The directions of institutional changes in the state policy in the context of the strategy of development of inter-sectoral integration have been improved. Proposals on the formation of inter-branch links in integrated enterprises have been developed. Practical value / implications. As an example of the activities of integrated formations («Kernel Holding», «Myronivsky Hliboproduct» and «Astarta Holding»), it is substantiated that the result of the implementation of the proposed strategy for the development of inter-sectoral integration will be a synergistic effect, which is defined as an increase in the efficiency of integrated formations as a result of the association of individual parts into a single system.
