Akciğer Kanserini Taklit Eden Tüberküloz Olguları Ve Biomass Maruziyeti

Abstract
We read the article titled "A Tuberculosis Case With A Mass Appearance in Tomography" published in your journal numbered as 4(1) at pages 36-38 in 2015 with interest. Researchers mentioned that tuberculosis act as any other diseases and due to its similar radiological findings can also be mistaken as lung cancer. For that reason diagnosis and treatment will be delayed. Patients with diabetes, silicosis and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) positivity and in the elderly with tuberculosis on chest x-ray may sometimes be confronted with atypical radiological appearances. In order to draw attention to these events and to emphasize the importance of biomass exposure, we wanted to share two similar cases that we had previously presented in the 8th Congress of Family Medicine and the 19th Turkish Thoracic Society Congress. These two cases had clinical, radiological, bronchoscopic appearance that may be confused with lung cancer and lead to invasive procedures like thoracotomy.
