Aktualne miejsce lewodopy w leczeniu choroby Parkinsona

Abstract
W ostatnich latach poglądy dotyczące etiopatogenezy i symptomatologii choroby Parkinsona ulegają sukcesywnym zmianom. Lewodopa pozostaje nadal podstawowym lekiem w leczeniu tego schorzenia pomimo licznych działań niepożądanych. Trwają badania mające na celu wyjaśnienie mechanizmu działania lewodopy o dłuższym czasie trwania, co może doprowadzić do wytworzenia nowej generacji pochodnych lewodopy. Wprowadzane są także nowe metody terapeutyczne, których celem jest zapewnienie stałej stymulacji dopaminergicznej.
