Abstract
The role of amateurism in circus art is determined. Amateurism is seeking new forms of expression of the needs of human and nation in the process of leisure. Professional circus art is improved these forms to an exemplary level. Amateurism is realized the creative potential of young people. Circus amateurism is a fundamental component of the process of creating a culture. Modern amateur circus business in Ukraine is represented by a large number of amateur circus groups. Amateur circus teams are combined circus genres: equilibrium, juggling, acrobatics, gymnastics with a variety of sport tricks and the art of pantomime, illusions and manipulations and clowns. The modern circus is not just a skillful execution of tricks. Modern circus is a synthesis of different genres. It is determined that it is important to identify the problems of the activities of amateur circus groups and to find ways of their solution in the context of the creation of culture.
