Abstract
Tha article is aimed at investigation lyrical and dramatic peculiarities of American folklore ballads on the bases for cretive thinking and imagery formation. In the process of the recontruction of the verbal images conceptual models it appered that the conceptual metamorphosis is a specific way to reconstruct the world characteristic of American folklore balladry.
