Abstract
Ο όρος άμεσος πατερναλισμός στο ποινικό δίκαιο υποδηλώνει την νομιμοποίηση της κρατικής βίας προκειμένου να αποτραπεί η βλάβη ενός ατό- μου από εκούσιες ενέργειες του ιδίου. Στην παρούσα μελέτη εξετάζεται η καταλληλότητα ή μη της χρήσης των ποινικών κυρώσεων τόσο μέσα από την ανάλυση της θεωρίας όσο και από συγκεκριμένα παραδείγματα.
