Ammunition Belt for 30 mm Cartridge – Basis of Production Technology

Abstract
In the paper the basis of production technology of ammunition belt for 30 mm anti-aircraft ammunition are presented. Particular stages of production technology were described: selection of chemical composition, production technology of steel grade, plastic working, construction of tools for plastic working processes and parameters of final heat treatment in order to obtain required mechanical and operational properties. Ammunition belts for 30 mm cartridge are not produced currently in Poland. The paper contains results of investigations carried out in the project entitled: “Development of the bases production technology of steel components for 30 mm ammunition”.
