Amount of using accounting information in decisionmaking of food and drug industry managers in Khuzestan province

Abstract

In this study we investigate the amount of using accounting information in decision making by managers of food and drug industries in Khuzestan province. In recent years, attention to accounting information by managers has increased and using this accounting information will increase their ability in decision-making. Here one question arises that how much effect accounting information has on decision making? In this study two hypotheses were presented that each has sub-hypotheses. In first hypotheses we study effect of accounting information on continuous decision-making of managers ad in second hypothesis effect of accounting information on non-continuous decision-making of managers was studies. In order to gather information a questionnaire with reliability %87.25 based on Cronbach alpha was sent to 66 companies. After gathering data and analysis using spss software it becomes clear that mangers rely in average level in continuous and short term decision-making and in long term and non-continuous decision making use accounting information more than average level.
