An Algorithm to Decide Shipment Plan of Homogeneous Goods with Stochastic Demand and Availability
Journal Title: Asian Research Journal of Mathematics - Year 2017, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
The decision of transporting homogeneous goods is not only based on unit transportation cost but also depends on many factors such as order size, total shipment-cost, profit, distance, man-power, etc. For each shipment link, these factors are treated as inputs and outputs variables. Such transportation problem with multiple inputs and outputs per shipment link is considered as Extended Transportation Problem. In the transportation problem, the distribution depends on the demand and the availability of homogeneous goods. Demand and Availability of goods may not be known to decision maker. Under this situation, the problem is known as Extended Stochastic Transportation Problem (ESTP). In this paper, we assume that the demand and availability are random variables with some known probability distribution. We proposed a method based on data envelopment analysis to decide optimal shipment plan for ESTP. The hypothetical illustration is considered to check the applicability of the proposed approach.

Subharmonic Solutions of Governed MEMS System Subjected to Parametric and External Excitations
Subharmonic periodic solutions of order ( 1 2 , 1 4 ) to a weakly second order ordinary differential equation which governed the motion of a micro-dynamical system are studied analytically. Applying the method of multipl...
Topologized Hamiltonian and Complete Graph
Topological graph theory deals with embedding the graphs in Surfaces, and the graphs considered as a topological spaces. The concept topology extended to the topologized graph by the S1 space and the boundary of every ve...

A numerical study is executed on laminar, incompressible viscous flow in a ventilated enclosure to clarify the flow and heat transfer characteristics of an electrically conducting fluid subjected to three different inte...
Oscillatory Behavior of the Solutions for a Nonlinear Mechanical System with Delay
In this paper, the oscillatory behavior of the solutions for a class of nonlinear mechanical system with delay is investigated. By means of mathematical analysis method, some sufficient conditions to guarantee the oscill...
Topologized Cut Vertex and Edge Deletion
In this paper discussed and study a new result of non-topologized graph by using cut vertex and cut edge component of the graph makes the graph to be Topologized graph. This concept implemented to some families of graph.
