An Alternative to the Traditional Western Blot For Recombinant His-tagged Proteins
Journal Title: American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology - Year 2006, Vol 2, Issue 4
Abstract
A rapid, inexpensive and sensitive alternative to the traditional Western Blot is presented here. This method is very useful for detection of recombinant 6-his tagged proteins.

Static and Dynamic Mechanical Behavior of Hydroxyapatite-Polyacrylic Acid Composites Under Simulated Body Fluid
In this work, we have investigated mechanical response of hydroxyapatite/polyacrylic composites under dry, wet and simulated body fluid conditions. Hydroxyapatite (HAP) is mineralized under two conditions; one, in pres...
Biochemical and Immunological Study on the Effects of Barley and its Components as Hypoglycemic Agents in Diabetic Rats
The present study was carried out to investigate the hypoglycemic effect of barley (Hordeum vulgare L) and some of its components such as amino acids (L-leucine and L-glutamine) and chromium picolinate on some biochemica...
Biochemical Effects of Recombinant Porcine Somatotropin on Pig Fetal Growth and Metabolism: A Review
Prenatal development is mainly dependent on a close interrelation between nutritional supply use and regulation by hormones and growth factors. Mechanisms during early embryonic development are sensitive to manipulatio...
On Application of Carhart Atom Pairs to Predict Anticonvulsant Activity
About 50 million people in the world suffer from epilepsy, especially in childhood, adolescence and old age. Available treatment fails to control epilepsy in up to 30% of affected people. In developing countries, howev...
Mapping QTLs Linked to Physio-Morphological and Plant Production Traits under Mapping QTLs Linked to Physio-Morphological and Plant Production Traits under
Drought stress is a major constraint for rice (Oryza sativa L.) production and yield stability in rainfed ecosystems. Identifying genomic regions (QTLs) contributing in drought resistance will help to develop rice cult...
