AN ANALYSIS OF THE FACTORS WHICH INFLUENCE ON THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF POWER SUPPLY SYSTEMS

Abstract

Purpose. The concern of the research is to analyze the factors of increasing the energy efficiency of production, rejection and distribution of electric energy. These are such components as reduction of technological losses, improvement of electric power quality and reliability of electric networks and systems functioning, analysis and correction of current standards. Methodology. The methods of economic analysis of the magnitude of relative losses taking into account the gross domestic product at purchasing power parity are used. Also, to analyze the levels of Total Harmonic Distortion couple to into network by electrical drive, the combined simulation method and the multivariate analysis method were applied. Results. Expressions are given which are used to evaluate the effect of reactive power on increas-ing power and voltage losses. The economic equivalent of reactive power is calculated, Also are given the values of the relative losses in different countries. The results of calculations are presented, which show that the level of relative losses in Ukraine is about 20 %. It is also shown that one of the most important indicators of energy efficiency is the reliability index of electricity supply. Originality. The connection between the levels of electricity losses in the electrical networks of different countries as with the peculiarities of electrical networks and their modes, and with the economies of these countries is shown. In countries with a more developed economy the technical production culture is higher, more modern systems for managing the operating modes of electrical networks are used. Practical value. There is shown that in order to increase the energy efficiency it is required to maintain the normalized of the power quality levels. It is necessary to reduce the levels of technological losses of electrical energy, in particular, by correctly solving the problems of reactive power.
