An Approach to Active Queue Management in Computer Network
Journal Title: International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering - Year 2016, Vol 8, Issue 7
Abstract
Active queue management is a key technique for reducing the packet drop rate in the internet. This packet dropping mechanism is used in a router to minimize congestion when the packets are dropped before queue gets full In this paper a new framework of Active queue management namely MYRED is proposed. The goal of this new scheme is to improve the performance of AQM by keeping router queue length optimized. In RED packets are marked or dropped with a statistical probability before packet buffer overflows. In this work, a simulation based approach using NS-2 has been carried out to evaluate the performance of average queue length on simplified packet data network model.

Robust TCP: An improvement on TCP protocol
The Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is the most popular transport layer protocol for the internet. Congestion Control is used to increase the congestion window size if there is additional bandwidth on the network, an...
Data Warehouse Schema Evolution and Adaptation Framework Using Ontology
Data Warehouse systems aim at integrating data from multiple heterogeneous, distributed, autonomous data sources. Due to changing business needs the data warehouse systems are never meant to be static. Changes in the dat...
A Novel Texture Synthesis Algorithm Using Patch Matching by Fuzzy Texture Unit
Texture is an important spatial feature useful for identifying objects or regions of interest in an image. This paper presents a novel texture characterization method based on Fuzzy Texture Unit (FTU) for texture synthes...
Automatic Detection of ECG R-R Interval using Discrete Wavelet Transformation
Detection of QRS-complexes takes an important role in the analysis of ECG signal, based on which the number of heart beats and an irregularity of a heart beat through R-R interval can be determined. Since an ECG may be o...
Analysis of AOMDV and OLSR Routing Protocols Under Levy-Walk Mobility Model and Gauss-Markov Mobility Model for Ad Hoc Networks
In this paper we have compared AOMDV and OLSR routing protocol using Levy-Walk Mobility Model and Gauss-Markov Mobility Model. OLSR is a proactive, table-driven, link state routing protocol while AOMDV is a reactive rout...
