Journal Title: International Journal of Management Sciences - Year 2016, Vol 7, Issue 6
Abstract
International trade can change the production process within sectors in different ways. The underlying mechanisms are related to the level or variation of the intensity of international trade, and they result in a modification of the production function of the representative firm. In particular, they can affect labor productivity and qualification. These are the impacts that we propose to assess in this article. Our empirical analysis will test the impact of international trade and its contribution to the improvement of productivity in the economy. The sector assessments of the Tunisian economy, and the conclusions that will be reached, will highlight the promising sectors in Tunisia, and their evolution over the past two decades.
