An exemplified introduction of the Laplace transform
Journal Title: Acta Marisiensis. Seria Technologica - Year 2018, Vol 15, Issue 1
Abstract
We solve a linear Cauchy problem with discontinuous perturbation two ways, by solving continuous Cauchy problems successively and by using Laplace transform. An example is given when the last one cannot be used any longer, still the Cauchy problems are solvable and the Cauchy problem with discontinuous perturbation as well.

Studying Transient State Using State Parameters
This paper presents the state variables method in the analysis of the transient state. Using this method the behaviour of transformers at on/off switching is studied. The transient state is a short event caused by any ch...
Data Acquisition and Control Simulation
The aim of this paper is to build a master application that controls a brake test system. One crucial step is developing a data acquisition and control system, capable of simulating the real physical stand. The simulator...
Instantaneous Frequency Estimation of Discrete Time Signals
The classical concept of instantaneous frequency, obtained by differentiating the instantaneous phase is one of the most used approaches. Nonlinear signals usually have nonlinear and nonstationary behavior. Revealing hid...
Empirical Mode Decomposition in Discrete Time Signals Denoising
This study explores the data-driven properties of the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) for signal denoising. EMD is an acknowledged procedure which has been widely used for non-stationary and nonlinear signal processin...
Qualitative Metrics for Development Technologies Evaluation in Database-driven Information Systems
Database-driven information systems are nowadays widespread in various application domains. The technologies employed to manage the database itself are generally built on the same data model – the relational model – and...
