An exemplified introduction of the Laplace transform
Journal Title: Acta Marisiensis. Seria Technologica - Year 2018, Vol 15, Issue 1
Abstract
We solve a linear Cauchy problem with discontinuous perturbation two ways, by solving continuous Cauchy problems successively and by using Laplace transform. An example is given when the last one cannot be used any longer, still the Cauchy problems are solvable and the Cauchy problem with discontinuous perturbation as well.

Empirical Mode Decomposition in Discrete Time Signals Denoising
This study explores the data-driven properties of the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) for signal denoising. EMD is an acknowledged procedure which has been widely used for non-stationary and nonlinear signal processin...
Experiments of Controlers Tuning Based on Integral Criteria
For a system specified by the process, actuator and transducer, the obtaining of a certain operating regime (stationary and transient) is conditioned by the proper choice of a controller’s structure and the tuning parame...
Novel Hierarchical Micro/Nano Modified Surfaces for Dental Implants
Present paper presents the modification at nano scale level of the surfaces of Ti6Al4V alloy that were previously modified at micro scale level by acid etching (AE) or by sand blasting with large grit and acid etching (S...
Study Regarding the Optimization of Corn Production According to Hectolitric Mass and Seeding Time
This article approaches the nonlinear regression model, the method of the smalles squares with examples, and calculations for the power function model. For this, we used data obtained from a study using corn hybrids such...
The Emotional and Social Skills of Students in Engineering
This paper presents some results of the project entitled “Improve your emotional skills” (IYES), promoted in the framework of Erasmus+ program in a partnership of organizations from 6 European countries. The project conc...
