An Optimized Round Robin Scheduling Algorithm for CPU Scheduling
Journal Title: International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering - Year 2010, Vol 2, Issue 7
Abstract
The main objective of this paper is to develop a new approach for round robin scheduling which help to improve the CPU efficiency in real time and time sharing operating system. There are many algorithms available for CPU scheduling. But we cannot implemented in real time operating system because of high context switch rates, large waiting time, large response time, large trn around time and less throughput. The proposed algorithm improves all the drawback of simple round robin architecture. The author have also given comparative nalysis of proposed with simple round robin scheduling algorithm. Therefore, the author strongly feel that the proposed architecture solves all the problem encountered in simple ound robin architecture by decreasing the performance rameters to desirable extent and thereby increasing the system throughput.

Audio Watermarking Based On The PSK Modulation
Audio watermarking is a technique, which can be used to embed information into the digital representation of audio signals. The main challenge is to hide data representing some information without compromising the qualit...
Hierarchical classification of web content using Naïve Bayes approach
This paper explores the use of hierarchical structure to classify a heterogeneous collection of web pages. In the hierarchical classification, a model learns to distinguish a second level category from all other categori...

H.264/AVC (Advanced Video Coding) is the newest video coding standard of the moving video coding experts group. The decoder is standardized by imposing restrictions on the bit stream and syntax, and defining the process...
ROBOT NAVIGATION USING IMAGE PROCESSING AND ISOLATED WORD RECOGNITION
In this paper, a practical implementation of image processing and isolated word recognition has been explained. A modeled vehicle has been driven autonomously on the road and can navigate on a road on its own, stop at ze...
