An outlier detection algorithm based on clustering
Journal Title: Scholars Journal of Engineering and Technology - Year 2015, Vol 3, Issue 6
Abstract
Outlier detection is a very important type of data mining, which is extensively used in application areas. The traditional cell-based outlier detection algorithm not only takes a large amount of time in processing massive data, but also uses lots of machine resources, which results in the imbalance of the machine load. This paper presents an distance-based outlier detection algorithm. These experiments show that this improved algorithm is able to effectively improve the efficiency of the outlier detection as well as the accuracy. Keywords: outlier detection; Euclidean distance; cluster center; maximum distance principle; minimum distance principle

Global Solutions to Damped Fisher Equation by Renormalization Group Method Based on the Classical Theory of Envelope
By the Kunihiro's renormalization group method based on the classical theory of envelope, the global approximate solution to damped Fisher equation is obtained. Keywords: renormalization group; envelope theory; global ap...
Depelopment of Hydraulic Design Criteria for Runoff on Residential Area in Bekasi, Indonesia
Abstract:The incompatibilities of urban or residential area’s drainage channel construction with design criteria were often found caused by the difficulties in designing drainage channel. This research aims to determine...
Modelling natural gas pressure reducing stations for power generation using expansion turbines
Natural gas has a high pressure before consumption in industries and cities. This pressure is reduced using relief valves in urban gas pressure reducing stations. Pressure drop results in great energy loss and accordingl...
On the Homogenious Cubic Equation with Four Unknowns
The homogeneous cubic equation with four unknowns represented by the Diophantine equation is analyzed for its patterns of non-zero integral solutions. Two patterns of solutions are illustrated. A few interesting relatio...
