An unusual case of cardiac tamponade in a 10 year old girl

Abstract
Abstract: Pericardial effusion complicated by cardiac tamponade is a medical emergency. Reason may be trauma, infection, malignancy, endocrinal or radiation. Irrespective of the cause, immediate pericardiocentesis is indicated to prevent cardiogenic shock. We present an unusual case of cardiac tamponade in a 10 year old girl which is very rare to the best of our knowledge. Keywords: Pericardial effusion, cardiac tamponade
