An unusual case of duplication of the right testicular artery
Journal Title: International Journal of Anatomical Variations - Year 2017, Vol 10, Issue 1
Abstract
Duplications of the testicular arteries have been described. Origins of double testicular arteries are variable and associate to other vascular variations. During routine dissection of the abdominal cavity on an adult male cadaver, two testicular arteries on the right side were observed, one of them originated from aorta abdominal and the other arose from a common trunk along with an inferior suprarenal artery. The common trunk surged from a supplementary renal artery. Combination of these vascular variations is explained by embryological development. Knowledge of the variants in the origin and number of the testicular and renal artery must be taken into consideration in a surgery to avoid complications.

Variations in the Branches of Axillary Artery
Introduction: Variations in the branching pattern of axillary artery is common. Understanding of variations of axillary artery and its branches is necessary and well documents in anatomical, radiological and surgical pro...
Rare anatomical variation of the cystic artery giving off 3 branches to the gallbladder
A routine cadaveric dissection demonstrated the cystic artery giving off 3 branches to the gallbladder (also known as Calot’s arteries). The arteries of Calot branched out as the cystic artery traverses along the cystic...
A new type of non-recurrent inferior laryngeal nerve in a cadaver with a right retroesophageal subclavian artery
The presence of the retroesophageal right subclavian artery predicts the presence of a right non-recurrent inferior laryngeal nerve (NRILN). Three different right NRILNs have been previously described: Types Ia, Ib and I...
Anatomical variations of sacral hiatus and associated clinical relevance - A review
Sacral hiatus is caudal opening of sacral canal. Caudal epidural anaesthesia for various therapeutic and diagnostic procedures is administered through sacral hiatus. 25% failure rate of caudal epidural block has been rep...
A muscle variant in the region of the popliteal fossa associated with the semitendinosus muscle
Posterior thigh pain is frequently caused by straining the posterior thigh muscles. Because of these clinical implications, it is important for surgeons to have a comprehensive knowledge of muscle variations. During a ro...
